Wearing blush can be tricky especially for women with darker skin who often find that the lack of pigmentation and chalky texture isn’t compatible with their skin.
Blushes can be split into two subsections of texture, the cream blush or the powder blush and they both work differently in terms of application. You apply powder blush with a blush brush while you apply the cream blush with your fingers or a brush.
With a blush, less is generally more; you are advised to start small and build up to where needed. Apply your blusher right onto the center of your cheek and blend in circular motions, you can eventually add more and sweep the colour gently towards the temples.
Finding the right shade of blush for your skin tone can be tricky. If you have an olive undertone go for corals and peaches. If your undertone is cooler, go for pinks and for those with darker skin, mauve works perfectly.
