Fashion month has been going strong while it has moved to Paris, we want to take a minute to breathe and capture the beautiful moments shown on the runway. The glam teams working the Milan Spring 2020 scene were not scared to experiment and did not hold back. They went all in using loose glitter, adorning eyebrows with lashes, dreamingly painting strokes on hair. They found more ways to play with neon and create Tetris inspired watercolour eye looks. While you may not be able to wear these trends full on, we can draw some inspiration from them. We have compiled standout beauty trends from the Milan Fashion Week Spring 2020 shows.
Instead of making a full-on eye shadow look, Pat McGrath used fluorescent coloured neon strokes to highlight the crease for the Versace show. It complemented the clothes and popped against the models’ skin.
The iconic Pat McGrath drew inspiration from the 1920s with the bold eye makeup on the Prada runway. Thick black arcs were drawn over the models’ crease with produced a serious look tied together with red lipstick. We can draw inspiration from this for mornings when our eyeliners don’t cooperate.
Can we say “Picasso Baby”? The glam team for the Moschino show under the leadership hairstylist Julien d’Ys and makeup artist Kabuki created a work of art. The sleek low buns with highlights of paint strokes complemented the abstract theme of the show. While the makeup which consisted of an outer corner eyeliner and scarlet lips gave it a timeless look.
Falsies, as we have seen from this season is not only restricted to your lash line but will look stunning on your eyebrows. This look shown on the Gucci runway is a juxtaposition of minimalism and flamboyance.
